PFT/Pulmonary Function Test/Spirometry
Pulmonary function tests are a group of tests that measure how well the lungs take in and release air and how well they move gases such as oxygen from the atmosphere into the body's circulation.
At Unihealth our Machine for Pulmonary Function Test is uniquely designed with increased patient safety. It is also easy-to-use with patented digital ultrasonic flow measurement technology for fast, accurate and reliable operation. Ultrasonic flow measurement is independent of gas composition pressure, temperature and humidity, and helps to reduce errors due to these variables, and it supports high-quality measurement.
The measurements taken by this device are used to generate a pneumotachograph that can help to assess lung conditions such as: asthma, pulmonary fibrosis, cystic fibrosis, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Physicians may also use the test results to diagnose bronchial hyper responsiveness to exercise, cold air, or pharmaceutical agents.
